TIG3R LEWIS SHARES NEW SINGLE "TOO EASY

Rising singer, songwriter, and guitarist Tig3r Lewis signs with Republic Records and releases his new single “Too Easy,” out now. Listen here.

Lewis also announces his debut EP, Mr. Right Now, arriving June 5—a project that brings the sonic and artistic world he’s been building into sharper focus. The EP will feature “Too Easy” alongside previous releases “Mr. Right Now” and “Leaving Me Lonely,” with additional new songs that expand his sound and lean into unguarded, emotionally driven writing.

On “Too Easy,” Lewis continues his work with Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, who produced the track alongside GRAMMY® Award–winning songwriter Theron Thomas. The record leans into the contrast at the center of his sound—pairing a rich, expressive guitar tone with a loose, swinging groove rooted in R&B and soul but shaped by something rougher around the edges. It moves with a sense of restraint, letting the emotion build without forcing it.

Speaking about the track, Lewis shares: “A big part of this song stemmed from a bit of self-sabotage. In that everything worthwhile has to be difficult. I’m at a place now where something so meaningful came with ease— it feels too good to be true at times. Gratitude feels like the best way to nurture it. I finally have a bit more of a brain to leave them no question on how I feel. It feels good to let them know. Whoever they are.”

Raised between Cape Town and Connecticut, Lewis brings a wide range of influences into his work, shaping the way he hears and builds his sound. His music carries a sense of movement, balancing vulnerability and control through his voice and grounded in his guitar playing. Before signing with Republic Records, Lewis developed his sound in Los Angeles, where he worked closely with producer Jeff Gitty. That collaboration led to early releases including “Mr. Right Now” and “Leaving Me Lonely,” setting the foundation for what has followed.

Ahead of his debut EP, Lewis will take the stage at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, NY on June 3, marking his first New York City headline show. The performance will offer an early glimpse into how his sound translates live, carrying the same energy that defines his recordings. Tickets are available here.
