After weeks of online speculation and quiet teasing, Nick Jonas and Brandon Lake have officially delivered, releasing two surprise collaborations today: “Hope (Remix)” and “The Author,” available now on all streaming platforms.
The dual release pairs “Hope (Remix),” a refreshed version of Jonas’ standout Sunday Best track featuring newly added vocals from Lake, with “The Author,” a brand new original written by the two during Lake’s writing camp late last year. “The Author” is released as a Brandon Lake track featuring Nick Jonas.
The result is a seamless collision of two worlds: Jonas’ polished pop sensibility and Lake’s powerful, inspirational vocals coming together in a way that feels both unexpected and undeniable.
Fans first caught on to a potential collaboration earlier this year, when the two artists began trading cryptic comments across social platforms. With no formal announcement, the moment built organically—fueling theories and anticipation that have now paid off in real time.
“Hope (Remix)” stays true to the original’s lyrics and emotional core, now elevated by Lake’s vocal presence, while “The Author” offers something entirely new—an intimate, co-written track born out of a spontaneous creative partnership at Brandon’s writing camp at the end of last year.

Together, the songs tap into themes of purpose, identity, and belief delivered through two distinct but aligned voices.
Today’s release continues the expansion of Jonas’ Sunday Best era while marking another major moment for Lake as he continues to reach new audiences across genres.
“Hope (Remix)” and “The Author” are available now on all streaming platforms.
