STRAY KIDS MAKE BILLBOARD HISTORY AS THIS & THAT DEBUTS AT #1 ON THE BILLBOARD 200

Global phenomenon Stray Kids make history once again as their new album, THIS & THAT, debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200, marking the group’s ninth consecutive #1 debut on the chart.

With the achievement, Stray Kids become the first act in Billboard 200 history to debut their first nine charting albums at #1, extending a record-setting run that began with ODDINARY in 2022.

The milestone further cements Stray Kids’ place in chart history. With nine #1 albums, the group extends its record for the most #1 albums among K-Pop acts of all time, ties for the most #1 albums among any artist in the 2020s, and extends its record for the most #1 albums among groups in the 21st century.

Stray Kids also now tie The Rolling Stones for the second-most #1 albums among groups in Billboard 200 history. The group achieved its first nine #1 albums faster than any act since The Beatles in the 1960s.

Adding to the historic week, THIS & THAT earned 369,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., marking the biggest U.S. album consumption debut of Stray Kids’ career. Of that total, 357,000 came from traditional album sales, delivering the group’s biggest sales week ever and earning THIS & THAT a #1 debut on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.

Released via JYP Entertainment / REPUBLIC Collective, THIS & THAT showcases a more liberated and relaxed energy while remaining rooted in the fearless individuality and self-produced artistry at the core of Stray Kids’ identity. The album’s lyrics and music were created by 3RACHA, the group’s in-house producing unit comprising Bang Chan, Changbin and HAN.

The eight-track project is led by the title track “This & That,” a hip-hop-based song built around Stray Kids’ signature confidence and effortless energy. The album also features pre-release single “RUN IT,” which topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 43 regions, including the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The #1 debut continues an extraordinary global run for Stray Kids. Following the record-breaking Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE>, the group launched its new Stray Kids World Tour <RUN IT> with five sold-out performances at Seoul’s KSPO DOME. Stray Kids will next make history on August 29 and 30 as the first international male artist to stage a solo concert at Tokyo’s National Stadium.
